A perfect day-trip in the famous wine region of Medoc!

9:30am Departure from Bordeaux Tourism Office.

Today depart for the left bank of the Garonne. Some of the most prestigious appellations of the Bordeaux vineyards are located here: Margaux, St Julien, Pauillac.

10:30am Enjoy a first visit and wine tasting session in a prestigious Classified Growth Château of Margaux appellation.

After your visit, follow the Châteaux route for photo stops in front of some of the most picture perfect Castles such as Margaux, Palmer, Pichon-Longueville.

12:00pm Free time for lunch in the Pauillac area.

2:30pm Enjoy a second visit and wine tasting in a Cru Bourgeois of the Haut Medoc appellation.

4:00pm Finally, enjoy a third and final wine tasting in Haut Medoc or Margaux appellations to complete the day.

5:30pm Return to the meeting point in Bordeaux.

Beautiful Châteaux

We really enjoyed our guide (Maud) who was very knowledgeable and she stopped in few Châteaux who were not included in the package, making the experience even more fun. We would have preferred a picnic or some lunch included. We didn't like the stop at Château Lamothe-Bergeron as it felt tacky with those dark lights and video projection, like a bad version of Disney, shame as the Château itself is stunning.

Loved getting out of the city and seeing the beautiful Bordeaux/ French countryside. No problems at all with the booking or guide Mathias. Mathias was excellent. Loads of information and observations. For a wine tasting and new experience I would really recommend it. Merci beacoup.

Lacklustre visit to Medoc

We had only an ok one-day tour with Bordeaux Tourism (via operator Ophorus) to Medoc. We booked a one day tour to Medoc. We were disappointed we only visited one Grand Cru. We also visited a Cru Bourgeois and a Grand Vin de Bordeaux. Just one of those would have been enough to understand the non Grand Cru. We think we should've visited two Grand Cru. We also never got past Margaux. We got to Pauillac for lunch. Why not a vineyard visit in Pauillac too?
