Welcome to the heart of the Graves region, at Château de Portets !
Set off on a 1h walking tour, guided by an app you can download onto your smartphone. You'll make your way through the vineyards and narrow streets of the village of Portets, ending your stroll at the Château with a wine tasting !
Meet up in the château courtyard, from where you'll head out over the Renaissance terrace towards the vineyards and the Garonne River. Take time to admire the panorama and discover the old harbour of Portets. At each stop, the app will give you an explanation.
You'll discover the origin of the name Portets, the great commercial activity that long reigned on its piers, the vestiges throughout the village... And finally the Château de Portets, a medieval fortress that became a Renaissance château, and today an authentic family wine estate.
You'll finish your tour in our scenographic area, where a film will tell you all about the history of Château de Portets, from the ancient harbour to the arrival of the Théron family.Take a break in our “four seasons” area to discover the cycle of the vine and the work of the vineyard through our exhibition and our touch-screen table that will answer all your questions !
Finally, you'll enjoy a tasting of 3 wines accompanied by pâté and wine jam made with our vintages. And you'll leave with your own engraved glass as a souvenir !
