Olala Bordeaux

Our instructor was knowledgable and informative and it was a pleasure walking through the history and basics of the wines of Bordeaux.

The half day wine tour was worth to explore Bordeaux.

The tour was an excellent brief introduction to wine making around Bordeaux. Perfect balance of technical explanation, history, their market and tastings. Beautiful chateaux's too. Our host was outstanding

The sommelier was knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting started with a presentation about Boardeaux's wine producing areas. Next was a lesson in how to taste wines before trying four different wine types. Recommended.

I desperately wanted to give my husband this opportunity to visit Margaux and taste the wines. So much so that I reluctantly agreed to attend to make sure he got to go, even though I'm not a red wine drinker. To my surprise, I enjoyed this immensely. Renee was extremely well-informed about the area, the wines, the industry, and the world at large. He was a delight to share time with and I was very FAR from being bored (which is what I had expected)! It had helped that we had been to Cite du Vin the day before, and had been on other winery tours in Europe and Australia. So we had some limited understanding of the processes and could ask reasonably intelligent questions that just made the tours even more interesting. The wines were lovely and my husband has become a definite Margaux fan! As I thought might happen! Many thanks to Renee who was a superb tour guide. Bravo Monsieur!

It was a wonderful tour with Rene to Saint Emilion and Margaux. We had great weather that day, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The 3 Chateaus we visited and tasted wines from were also lovely and gave a good insight into what Bordeaux is all about. I highly recommend this tour if you want to get a full experience of Bordeaux in one day!
