Tour of the château Sainte-Barbe

In an idyllic setting on the banks of the Garonne, learn about the history of the estate and Bordeaux wines, stroll through our vineyards to discover the flora and fauna in an area included in the Natura 2000 network, and find out more about how our wines are made in our typical Médoc vat room, built in 1860. The tour ends with a tasting of our wines.

The tour begins with the history of Château Sainte Barbe, linking it to the history of wine in Bordeaux and the advantages and particularity of being on the banks of the Garonne.The tour continues with a diversion through our vineyard plots to explain the growing methods used to obtain the best possible grapes. Along the way, we'll head for the typical Médoc vat room, which dates back to 1860, to explain more about the winemaking process. You will then learn about the environmental and virtuous practices used on the estate, which is HVE-certified, and applied throughout the year from the vine to the cellar.Finally, we'll round off the visit with a tasting of our wines, the fruit of two years' hard work and passion.We'll be delighted to welcome you for this one-hour dive into the history of the château, from the vines to the vat room, so that we can share our passion for this estate with you.
