The staff at every stop were welcoming and passionate about sharing their expertise, and spoke so kindly of Guillaume, showing he has a fantastic relationship with the locals. The views of the vineyards, rolling hills and the picturesque Saint-Emilion town were absolutely breathtaking. It felt like stepping back in time as we meandered through the scenic roads, and the leisurely pace of the tour allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty and culture of the region. It was a most memorable day having a private guided trip in a 1970s Citroën convertible. Guillaume was very communicative in advance in working with me to plan a suitable itinerary. Our day featured two chateaus and their wonderful wineries. The chateau's were beautiful. The production process of great wines was shown to us. The guides were very personable and charming. The wine tastings featured three tastings each of some of the best vintages. We were fortunate in that it was right in the middle of harvest. Pickers were in the fields and the production was really going on. We also had a beautiful lunch at a wonderful restaurant attached to the second winery. What a spread of meat and cheese plates so beautifully presented and great tasting. It was so relaxing sitting in a beautiful garden eating and engaging in conversation with interesting people. The ride in the special classic Citroen through the Medoc countryside was memorable. The private car for the four of us made everything so comfortable. No worries about being in a group tour. The personal attention was special. The car received numerous waves and smiles as we drove along. It made us feel special too. Booking was easy. We had previously gone on the City Tour when we arrived in Bordeaux. It really got us familiar with lovely Bordeaux. The follow-on reservation to Medoc was a natural extension. You have got to get out of the city and explore what a gift the wine region is. Yes, the tour is expensive, but you are paying by car not individually for the transportation. The lunch and wine tastings are additional. Overall, the comfort, attention, beauty, and the lovely people make this a memorable experience. Just add a wonderful day to your Bordeaux experience.
