Drive through the mythical appellations which established the reputation of Bordeaux wines. The specific terroir of the left bank produces powerful red wines. During this morning tour of the Medoc you'll enjoy visits to one wonderful chateau!

9.00am: Depart Bordeaux & drive through the famous “Chateaux Route” of the Medoc. Your local expert guide will share lots of interesting information about the Bordeaux & Medoc wine regions as you go.

10.00am: Your tour starts with a warm welcome in a beautiful Medoc winery steeped in history. Walk through the vineyards, tour the vat room and visit the chateau cellar. You'll receive a fascinating introduction to the wine making process, all the way from the vine to the bottle. Your tour will finish with a wine tasting paired with an aperitive platter made of french delicacies (includes fresh bread, cheese, cured meat, and dark chocolate).

11.15am: Stop in front of the most famous chateau of Medoc : Château Margaux . Enjoy the time to take some pictures while your guide will give you some explanations about this chateau.

12.30pm : Back in Bordeaux

A Great Tour with a Great Guide in the Médoc

This wine tour in the Médoc was a fantastic experience. Our guide, Mel, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. She made everyone feel welcome and at ease. Mel's anecdotes about the region and the winemaking process were fascinating, and they helped bring the history and culture of the Médoc to life. We had the opportunity to visit the renowned Château Margaux, which was a highlight of the tour. Even though the weather was a bit rainy, Mel's enthusiasm and expertise made the experience unforgettable. Additionally, our visit to Château Palomey was equally impressive. The wine tasting and tour of the winery fields were extremely insightful. Our guide at Palomey shared a wealth of information about the winemaking process and the unique characteristics of the estate. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Bordeaux region.

Booking was easy, though slight confusion at the meeting point that the name Bordovino is no longer used (though it was on the website). Tour itself was very interesting, with a lot of helpful commentary from Carole, our guide. Two chateau visits give a little bit of perspective on different styles of wine.

Wonderful tour of the Medoc region

Our group had a fun time learning about left bank Bordeaux wines, and of course sampling and tasting them! The wineries we visited were beautiful and made delightful wines. Our guide's restaurant recommendation for the night was absolutely delicious as well! Thank you so much for a fun day! (I forgot the name, so sorry, but we took the morning Medoc tour on June 9th)!
