Founded in 1993, Cousin & Compagnie is one of the oldest independent wine cellars in Bordeaux and a pioneer in the introduction and commercialization of biodynamic and natural wines since the mid-2000s.
Firmly convinced that the preservation of our natural heritage also depends on vineyard and winery practices, at Cousin & Compagnie, 90% of our selection consists of organic, biodynamic, or natural wines from family estates or independent winemakers.
Visiting our Bordeaux cellar means discovering rare gems from all over France and abroad, whether they are Grand Crus or “friend wines.” A true cabinet of curiosities, Cousin & Compagnie can satisfy both novices and connoisseurs, as well as those seeking unique finds.

Wonderful walking tour
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable - able to answer any questions we had. It was very helpful to hear her explanations in English as well as French. The tour lasted about two hours and covered many of the interesting sites and lanes in the city. The tour was well-worth the time and cost - I would definitely recommend it.

It motivated me to get out and do things
I found City Pass easy to use at all of the locations, and the person at the tourist office provided lots of helpful info. The best thing I used it for was Bassins des Lumières, which was incredible, and it was great to be able to go without a reservation. I wish I could have returned the next day for the second show, but it was limited to the Matisse & Frida Kahlo. Overall, though I did the calculator on the website, I'm not sure I got my money's worth with City Pass. I didn't feel the unlimited public transit was terribly valuable, as the city is so walkable I barely used it during the two days I had the pass--I rode 1 bus, 2 trams, and one water taxi. Most of the places I wanted to visit were inexpensive art museums, and two out of the three museums had very little art on display. More significantly, the booklet indicated the wrong dock for the boat tour, and it had a photo of a different boat. I wound up walking a mile out of my way because I was confused. I wanted to do both the train and boat tours, but you could only choose one. I think if you want to do a bunch of expensive museums, it's worth it. And the transit would be worth it if your mobility is limited. The best thing about this was it motivated me to get to a bunch of places I probably wouldn't have gone to otherwise.

Easy to use
The city pass is easy to use and really helps you see so much of Bordeaux. I recommend the pass which we used for 4 days.
You have to collect it from the tourist office, so after a long journey we had to collect it before we could park in the park and ride car park.
It would be so much better if it was available on your mobile so that you could use it for the park and ride and the first tram into the city when you first arrive.

Exceptionally knowledgeable guide
It was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and could answer all the niche questions adjacent to the subjects raised in the tour. We thoroughly enjoyed this!
