Founded in 1993, Cousin & Compagnie is one of the oldest independent wine cellars in Bordeaux and a pioneer in the introduction and commercialization of biodynamic and natural wines since the mid-2000s.
Firmly convinced that the preservation of our natural heritage also depends on vineyard and winery practices, at Cousin & Compagnie, 90% of our selection consists of organic, biodynamic, or natural wines from family estates or independent winemakers.
Visiting our Bordeaux cellar means discovering rare gems from all over France and abroad, whether they are Grand Crus or “friend wines.” A true cabinet of curiosities, Cousin & Compagnie can satisfy both novices and connoisseurs, as well as those seeking unique finds.

A Perfect Day Exploring Saint-Émilion & Médoc
We had a fantastic day on the Saint-Émilion and Médoc wine tour - the whole experience was relaxed, informative and extremely well organised from start to finish.
We visited some beautiful Chateaux, enjoyed learning about the winemaking process and tasted a wonderful selection of wines from both regions - the lunch was delicious and provided a great opportunity to relax.
Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and passionate about Bordeaux wines, making the day both educational and fun. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux who wants to experience some of the region’s best vineyards, wines and scenery.
A truly memorable day!

A beautiful day exploring Chateaus and St Emilion, food and wine!
Thoroughly recommend this tour as it incorporates history, food and wine knowledge. Tour guide was very personal, we visited two Chateaus which staff gave as tours of the wineries and had tastings in each. Had a lovely picnic in the gardens of the Chateau with bottle of wine. St Emilion was gorgeous with more wine tastings and exploration.

A great tour guide
The guide was very good, she explained the history of the caves very well. The tastings were also very well hosted.
Perhaps a little more work could be done to make the visit to the caves more engaging as it was apparent that there were old equipment there but it could be made even better.
Very enjoyable though and good value

One language only, please
Our bilingual guide delivered the information first in French to the French-speaking half of the group (more than half perhaps), then in English to us English-speakers. My husband and I understand enough French that we heard he was shortening his English version quite a bit, especially as the tour went on, which was frustrating for us. We could see him offering the info in French with enthusiasm and detail, then turning to us with a “I just was saying how X or Y.:.” One sentence to summarize for us after many sentences in French. I think he was tired by the second half of the 2-hour tour and it was a large group and that’s a lot of info to deliver in 2 languages. I get it. But it made us feel dismissed. I’d recommend offering a full English language tour as advertised though I realize the finances of it are better when combining 2 groups.

Margot was an excellent guide. She was fun and full of energy and also very knowledgeable about the Bordeaux wine regions. We learned about the Left and Right Banks and the Entre Deux Mets. Our tour of Clos Systey in Saint-Emilion was very interesting and fun. A true family-owned operation. Then we toured the town of Saint-Emilion which was an incredible look back into medieval times. Overall, an excellent tour!!
